Your information

Privacy policy

Effective September 28, 2026

Bolba is a language-learning service for speaking practice and automated feedback. This policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use Bolba. For privacy questions or requests, contact the Bolba operator at ketbod386@gmail.com.

Information we handle

  • Account information. Your email address, account identifier, and profile details. If you use Google sign-in, Google supplies basic identity information such as your name, email address, and profile image. Bolba does not receive your Google password or request access to your Gmail messages, Drive files, or contacts.
  • Speaking practice. Recordings you submit, transcripts, chosen topics and languages, learning level, feedback, scores, practice duration, and session history.
  • Community content. Posts, comments, profile details shown with them, and related interactions you choose to share.
  • Billing and usage. Plan, allowance, subscription status, and payment-provider identifiers and transaction status. Payment details entered into checkout are handled by Paddle; Bolba does not store complete card numbers or card security codes.
  • Technical information. Authentication sessions, preferences, request and error information, and usage counters. Hosting and service providers may also process IP addresses, browser details, and access logs.

How we use information

We use this information to sign you in, transcribe your speech, generate feedback, save progress, run community features, manage allowances and billing, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and diagnose service problems.

Recordings and AI feedback

When you submit a recording, Bolba sends it to its backend for speech-to-text processing. The current transcription flow processes audio in memory and does not save raw recordings in your practice history. Transcripts and learning context are sent to the configured AI provider to generate feedback. Depending on configuration and availability, this may use Google Gemini, Groq, or providers connected through our AI routing service. A fallback provider may process the request when another provider is unavailable. Saved transcripts, feedback, scores, and session details support your learning history. Avoid including confidential or sensitive personal information in recordings or posts.

AI processing is subject to the provider’s terms and data-handling practices, which can depend on the service configuration. Contact us for information about the providers processing your data.

Who receives information

We use Supabase for authentication and database storage, Vercel for hosting, Google for optional sign-in, AI providers as described above for feedback, and Paddle for checkout and subscription processing. They receive information needed for those functions and may process it outside your country. Community content is visible to other people who can access the community. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users and the service. We do not sell your personal information.

Support requests

When you contact support, we send your account identifier, contact email, issue type, description, and optional screenshot to our private support chat through Telegram. These reports help us investigate your issue and reply by email. Screenshots are processed for delivery and are not added to your practice history. Copies of reports remain in the support chat while needed to handle the request; contact us to request deletion. Avoid including passwords or complete payment details.

Browser storage

Bolba uses browser storage to keep you signed in, complete authentication, and remember preferences such as interface language. Clearing site data or blocking storage may sign you out or prevent some features from working.

Retention and your choices

Account and learning records are retained to provide your account and history until removed or no longer needed. Retention differs by record: billing, security, and legal records may need to be kept longer, and backups may retain copies until their normal expiry. Raw recording handling is described above.

You can stop recording or revoke microphone permission in your browser, sign out, and remove Google access through your Google Account settings. Revoking Google access does not itself delete your Bolba account. To request access, correction, export, or deletion of your information or account, email ketbod386@gmail.com, preferably from your account email. We may verify your identity before acting. Additional rights may apply where you live.

Security and younger users

We use authentication and access controls to restrict account data. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Bolba is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Bolba changes and will update the effective date on this page. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where required. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to ketbod386@gmail.com.
